Participating in the consortium commission of Rushes by Michael Gordon
As one of the 30 bassoonists who participated in the consortium commission organized by Dana Jessen and the New Music Bassoon Commissioning Fund, Jamie was able to present one of the regional premieres of Rushes by Michael Gordon, on March 21, 2013. This event was the second performance of the work in the United States.

Contemporary Techniques for the Bassoon: Multiphonics
With the help of Michiko Saiki and Ashley Bonner, 2 interns working with ADJ•ective New Music, the analysis of close to 4,000 multiphonic recordings is underway!

New work for Bassoon & Alto Saxophone
Strife for bassoon and alto saxophone was completed in early April 2013. It was commissioned by Don-Paul Kahl and Tyler Austin of the Aether Duo. Strife was written as a companion piece to Cross'd for two soprano saxophones. Check back soon for more information on the premiere and performances near you!
A new work for the Aurea Silva Trio including Brandy Hudelson, a beat-box and freelance orchestral flutist, Gareth Thomas, principal bassoonist for the Toledo Symphony, and David Gilliland, collaborative pianist at University of Michigan.
